Google Search x Barbie the Movie
idea:
Navigating the real world can be tricky, for anyone, let alone a Barbie. Sometimes it’s hard to find the right words to search for what you’re looking for. Luckily, with the new Google app, you can search things you see with Lens.
execution:
We partnered with Barbie the Movie and casted Meg Stalter to be our Delusional Barbie, to discover the world around her using Lens in the Google app. Prior to the release of the campaign, we dropped a teaser from Meg to further build on a cultural moment and raise the hype.
We extended the campaign through social videos, featuring various influencers demo-ing how Lens helps them in their own day-to-day lives, just like Barbie.

Who could be casted as a better Delusional Barbie than Meg Stalter who self taped her disbelief in NOT being casted in the Barbie movie.
We took this as inspiration to tease her being casted in a Barbie movie commercial instead ;)

We then partnered with various influencers who all had a unique audience base on niche on Tiktok, to further show how Lens could help with everyone’s real world problems.
They created both organic and paid content for the campaign.
